Mxngrove is our new online community for queer, trans and intersex folx with black heritage, in collaboration with Madi Gianfrancesco aka drag king Beau Jangles. The name ‘Mxngrove’ takes inspiration from The Mangrove in Notting Hill, where black folx gathered to exchange ideas and check in with the community - we’re paying homage to this idea and queering it.

Mxngrove takes the form of 5 online sessions (via Zoom), the first of which will take the form of a ‘pilot’, where we will ask participants to set intentions, and decide what the rest of the sessions will look like. The space should reflect the needs and wishes of its participants.

The sessions will be facilitated by Madi Gianfrancesco (they/she), a black queer mental health social worker and drag king.
