Camberwell Arts Open Studios, returns to SE5 as part of the annual summer festival!

For one weekend, Camberwell's artists, makers and creatives will once again open their doors to art enthusiasts and you'll find prints, paintings, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery, textiles and more.

Home to a diverse range of artists, designers and makers, Empress Mews Studios has become recognised as an innovating force in the creative Camberwell community. Visitors to our open studios enjoy the tranquil courtyard setting and the friendly collaboration amongst the exhibitors. The work on show encompasses gift and homewares, art prints, photography, painting, sculpture, fashion textiles, jewellery - even traditional Norwegian crafts.

Vanguard Court was once owned by Robert & John White, makers of R Whites lemonade, and also saw the building of London's first omnibuses around 1900 and later, the manufacture of Vanguard Luggage until the 1980s. Now home to a buzzing, creative, and collegiate community of like-minded creative makers, it has gained an enviable reputation over the last thirty years as a unique creative community, with occupants including Turner Prize shortlisted artists.
