Piano Factory Mural: Update

The Camberwell Identity Group has commissioned a new mural by Lionel Stanhope at the Piano Factory (opposite Camberwell College of Art).

It's a celebration of our local musical heritage, which ranges from the classical (Mendelssohn’s Spring Song was originally named Camberwell Green) to the contemporary (Basement Jaxx sang I Live in Camberwell, while Florence and the Machine references The Joiners Arms in South London Forever).

It was funded through a crowdfunding campaign that raised over £1000, with the balance of £500 contributed by the Camberwell Society. A QR code will soon be added to reveal more about our musical heritage and share music tracks for everyone to enjoy.
