More about the artist

Sue works in many mediums which allows her to create almost endlessly, with various iterations ensuring that no two items are identical. Working with different techniques means she can meet the constant challenge of making the seemingly impossible into the possible. It's easiest to describe Sue's current practice by dividing it into two :

Furnishing fabric and wallpaper design: Sue's designs are often taken from the world around us, where anything can become a pattern. Sue enjoys working with clients to create patterns from personal items that really mean something, and has created designs from things as varied as a favorite view, wild flowers on a walk or even a dinner service. Designs are then digitally printed to order. Fabrics can be either supplied on a roll or made up into finished items {cushions, blinds, curtains, tablecloths, clothing, lampshades etc}.

Colour Your Own Kits: colouring is a relaxing and mindful activity for adults and children alike, especially over the past few months. The kits make great gifts, are easy to post, contain hand drawn images to colour, string and little pegs and started with washing line bunting. Kits have evolved to include Day of the Dead bunting and holiday celebration words, as well as a Colour Your Own Alphabet, with more in the pipeline.

Sue generally works in small batches before evolving her ideas, although she is always happy to revisit a previous design or piece of work. She really enjoys adapting an item or idea so that it fits exactly what is needed, whether it be size, colour or design. Adaptions are fun and can take you in exciting new directions.

Sue welcomes commissions and collaborations, and enjoys exploring the endless possibilities with clients and enabling them to discover their own creativity, making something bespoke and unique.

Sue started out in film and television making props and models. And has worked on many Ad campaigns and window displays including John Lewis, Osborne and Little, Ted Baker.
