Hugh Gilmour: Warrior Studios

In recent work I have been using a plethora of techniques and materials to make paintings, drawings, sculpture and installations. The sculptures and installations fuse the natural such as stone, wood and shell with the manmade and often kitsch elements of plastic, ornaments and beads. The paintings and drawings use oil, acrylic and enamel paint alongside resin and glitter.

Kartegraphik: Empress Mews

My art is about experimentation and asking questions of the potential of my mediums, most often paper. More and more of these questions involve combining fibre and paper cutting in unusual ways. My works this year have explored the strength, fragility, beauty and form of these combined materials.

Peter Anthony Cooke: independent studio

Peter has been sketching buildings and street scenes since his schooldays. Unsurprisingly, he subsequently trained as an architect. From sketching he moved to watercolour painting - where the underlining drawing remains the structure, but layers of different colour washes are applied - and etching, where a similar effect can be achieved in aquatint.

Andy Matheson: Coldharbour Studios

You will see paintings, mainly in oil paint. Of people. And of people lost in paintings. Paintings that come from within. I wouldn’t put into words what they’re about. Though there are words in some. They convey how I thought about what I was going to do, how lightly or tightly I held the brush, how freely I moved my arm. And how much I intended to do what I did. In colour.
