Crochet & Knit: Community Christmas Tree

This Christmas tree is created from hundreds of squares knitted and crocheted by any and everyone who wants to participate – please join in. You choose your colour(s), whether you knit or crochet, and the only restrictions we ask are that all squares are 15cm x 15cm, and completed by a deadline in November.

This community art project starts NOW (early in 2023 – but it’s never too early to be thinking about Christmas!) and will be publicly displayed in December as part of Camberwell’s celebration of Christmas. If you are interested in contributing a square (or more than one) please contact Debbie – a volunteer with Camberwell Arts – for further information.

If you prefer to knit/crochet with others in a social setting, come and join the Camberwell Knit and Crochet group* on one Sunday afternoon per month at Love Walk United Reform Church, SE5 8AE. Turn up any time between 3 – 5pm Email Debbie to find out which Sunday is going to be the next gathering. If you become a regular we notify everyone by WhatsApp for forthcoming dates. It is usually the first OR second Sunday of the month.

*A contribution of £1 is paid by all participants to the church for hosting us.
